(From my Tumblr)

Narinig ko yan sa isang TV commercial.
Makes sense and that goes for EVERY leader and aspirig leader.

(Post from my TUMBLR)

When it comes to food, we are too impatient to wait. But Mang Ga (not his real name) has a solution to it. When you see the crowd of people around him during his peak hours, you’ll wonder how these guys manage to wait for a five-to-eight peso green mango. But if you’ll try to get closer to him, you would know that…

…he doesn’t really do the sales talk thing. And he only asks 3 things:

1. Ilan? (asking how many mangoes you are you going to buy)

2. Ok na ba ‘to? (asking if he picks the right mango for you)

3. Bagoong o asin? (asking if you want fish paste or salt with chili for your mangoes)

But even if he seldom talks, his customers are obviously entertained of his mango-peeling technique. The way he does it was like he’s just peeling an apple with a peeler (but he does it actually with a small knife)..

and as fast as peeling a banana. So bilis!

The peeled mango skins look like petals. And in less than a minute, your mangoes are ready for packing then… next… and so on and so forth.

I guess, it’s just how you put passion and life in simple things you do that makes “your thing” work for you.

HAPPY 11.11.11 11:11 KIMPOTCHY!

I took this photo of my couz about two and a half years ago…

Back then, I was like, “Wow, dalaga na sya!”

And then last Sunday, I saw this invitation…

And I was like, “Uuuyyy!!! Dalaga na talaga sya!!!”

Today’s my cousin @kimpotcy_11 ‘s birthday! Yes, 11.11.11. What a nice date!

Tomorrow’s the party and still, I haven’t rehearsed enough for our special number. Hehe

It seems to me that it’s been a while since I celebrated my own debut…but when I saw this invitation…

Whew! It’s been years ago!

Sometimes, what really reminds us of our age is not our birthdays…It’s the younger ones around us that we see growing up and makes us realize… ”It’s been quite a while”.

But you know what? It’s one good sign.

We haven’t noticed our times passing by coz maybe…even if surviving seems difficult, we’ve been enjoying our stay here on Earth. :’)

Mr. A-Z: Real Men Don’t Buy Girls

Just like any other show, one scene will hit you…like in any other movie, one line will hit you.

It’s really more than a wordplay…

The philantropist-singer-songwriter idol filled the Big Dome last night with fun, entertainment, lessons and love.

How?

ENTERTAINMENT. He performed in one great concert showing pure talent. With songs on some spontaneous lyrics, vocal shifting— that “what-the?!” operatic song plus that “Lucky-without-Colbie-but-seems-no-one’s-missing”… and of course the “MIXING”—The Remedy plus Wonderwall and other songs plus Beatles’…

JUST AMRAZING!

FUN. He didn’t forget to connect. Talked and LISTENed to the crowd… There’s always a response—much like a returned “I love you”…

There’s interaction. There’s audience participation. There’s Jason Mraz!

LESSON. Spread the love.

What I like about this philantropist is that he doesn’t simply love the humankind but he spreads the love wherever he goes. To me, the best of all the lyrics he uttered is this…

“REAL MEN DON’T BUY GIRLS”

He knows that people like him are in the right place to call for an action, influence folks, set examples and make up minds.

He has an advocacy that is peace…  A cause for that night that is stopping human trafficking…

I guess, he’s a perfect proof that those who have a cause have that effect.

No doubt, he was loved by a populace who were all strangers to him.

LOVE. You can feel it when a person loves what he’s doing. It reflects in whatever he does. When he said…

“I wanna give myself away coz this is the kind of place I wanna stay…”

Who cares if he said it several times? We felt it was real and nothing stopped the crowd from going “ahhhhwwww”…

He enjoyed it coz the audience were enjoying. And the audience enjoyed it…coz he is enjoying… There is no end in what I’m saying… Lalalalalalalalife is wonderful… when you meet wonderful people.

No, I’m not really a long time die hard fanatic… not until last wonderful night :’)

P.S. Lucky you…whoever you are who got that YELLOW BANDANA! Grrrr…

PASTA FIESTA!

chorizo pasta
carbonara

espaquetti lasagna

Since I watched Eat Pray Love, pasta has never been more fun to eat. I like it when I eat pasta alone. It gives me that feeling-Julia-Roberts moment and everytime a pasta meal is served, the scenes in Rome would play… the spaghetti shots, the fella whose surname is Spaghetti and of course, the punchlines.

I hope, one day, I can eat pasta and garlic breads in Italy… alone would be fine but best with my peers or a special someone.

Pastas above are all from Dulcinea. It’s chorizo pasta, espaquetti lasagna and carbonara… And no, I didn’t eat them all at once!

Walang Katapusang Jackstone

May kuryente o wala, unlimited ang pag level up hanggat may naiisip kang exhibition at additional rule.

Buti na lang…laking jackstone ako. :’)

SOS! THIS IS WHAT WE NEED NOW

I am writing this because I know, the world can read it.
I am writing this because I hope, the world will notice it.

As of this moment, my relatives, friends and fellow Bulakenyos in Calumpit, Hagonoy, Pulilan, Obando, Bulakan and kababayans in other parts of our country are in need of the following due to massive flooding left by Typhoon Pedring:

1. Prayers. The easiest and most powerful.
2. Rubber Boats. If your municipalities can lend us your spare boats, it can really help as there are still lots of families waiting at their roofs to be rescued.
3. Chopper. Some parts that need rescuing can’t be reached by rescuers by boat. Nothing’s impossible here.
4. Bed sheets for the evacuation centers
5. Canned Goods and Noodles. Relief goods that will last longer.
6. Drinking water. They don’t have access to clean and safe water as of the moment.
7. Extra clothes. Most of them haven’t saved a thing from their washed out properties.
8. Medicines.
9. Financial Assistance. Money is supposed to lubricate things so let it ease the rehabilitation. There is NO LITTLE PLEDGE. Every donation counts.
10. Volunteers. People who can share their time.

You can contact (044) 791 0566 to ask how you can send your support. Or may Google agencies and networks where you can give your donations. Let’s use the power of the internet. I know,
nothing’s impossible here. Wherever you are, you can do something.

Bulacan NDRRMC Relief Operations 0980 882 4882/ (044) 793 2619

The other side of the world is just a click away…so why not reach out?
This is a test we shall pass.

THERE IS ALWAYS A BETTER WAY.

Let’s stop blaming the officials and MAKE A MOVE.
LIFE is MORE IMPORTANT than opinions.

The world can read this, I know.

PS. If you have relatives in the affected areas who are still waiting for rescuers, tell them to go to safe higher places as the flood level is expected to rise. Another typhoon will visit us and our dam will definitely need to release more water. Tell them to save batteries, prepare flashlights and mirrors to make them noticeable in the dark. There is a roaming chopper for rescue operations. Stay safe.

Remember Facebook?

Remember Friendster?

When all that consumes your time is pimping your profile page and all that excites you are testimonials…
When you can PATIENTLY wait for a private message to be mailed back in a weeks time…
When you can make a thread of conversation through testimonials…

Remember?

I guess the world’s just like that. Everything comes to a point where you can only remember them. Everyday, the world goes on, changes and there are things that aren’t allowed to ride further. One day it’ll be gone or one day, you’ll be.

Time will come and people will talk something like… “Remember Facebook?”

Or

Your friends will talk something like… “Remember this person?…” on Facebook.

Both times will come but it’s either the first case or the second that will come first.
So what’s the point in arguing with things around you?

Funny how we can easily reach longer distances and yet it seems, the farther we can reach, the shorter our patience becomes.

We keep goin back to “simple” Facebook days…but never the great Friendster days.
Remember Friendster days? Connections aren’t as fast as what we have today but we survived.

The way I look at the wall posts today, to me it’s just about two things…either Facebook doesn’t care about what you want or you don’t care enough to learn and adapt.
